The lesson plan provided here was initially developed for the Maynooth Post Primary School (Kildare) and the Glentees Community School (Donegal). The sources used focus on Ireland’s role in the First World War and the experiences of men and women who served at the front. By engaging with original primary documents, students will discover life stories which are not covered in history books and learn about everyday events in wartime Ireland.<\/p>\n
Download the full Teacher’s Pack (.docx format \/ 121kB)<\/strong> to get started.
