The event was organised by the\u00a0History and\u00a0Heritage\u00a0pillar as a part of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/limerickcityofculture.ie\/\">Limerick City of Culture 2014<\/a>\u00a0programme.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was a great opportunity to connect with\u00a0those interested in family history, Irish history and genealogy. The organisers brought together\u00a0the historical church registers from several denominations in and around the City: Church of Ireland, Methodist, Presbyterian and Quaker. Limerick Genealogy, Clare Roots Society, and members of the Association of Professional Genealogists in Ireland (APGI) were providing free genealogical help and advice to visitors. And a number of regional historical groups and societies were also there.
