2nd Festival of History | Greystones

The 2nd Festival of History weekend, organised by the Greystones Archaeological and Historical Society in conjunction with La Touche Legacy, will be held at Greystones Golf Club, Friday 25th September – Sunday 27th September.

The theme this year is Reflections on the Great War and the Easter Rising 1916. It looks like a very interstesting event with a number of excellent speakers, including Dr Clara Cullen of UCD, Professor Susan Schreibman of the Letters of 1916 Project, author and broadcaster Turtle Bunbury and (as guest speaker at the dinner on Saturday night) former Taoiseach John Bruton. The Jim Brennan Memorial Lecture on Sunday morning will be given by La Touche historian Michael McGinley. Full details of the programme can be found below.
