Con Colbert was born in Limerick on October 18th, 1888 and was executed in the aftermath of the 1916 Easter Rising in Kilmainham Gaol on May 8th.
He was a major player in Na Fianna Éireann and was also a member of both the Irish Volunteers and Irish Republican Brotherhood. During the Rising Colbert was commander of the F Company 4th Battalion.
He surrendered his unit alongside Éamonn Ceannt on April 30th.
